Originally from England, I emigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s, moving to Port Moody in 1983 where we raised three children who now all live in the neighbourhood. Port Moody is an amazing place to live and I feel proud to call it my home! I started my real estate career in 1978 and have always enjoyed long-lasting relationships with many of my clients. I believe it is a strong testament to the service I provide that a great deal of my business comes through referrals from friends, family and former clients. I offer all my clients an excellent standard of industry knowledge, negotiating skills and the utmost professional attitude. My honesty, integrity and experience ensure my clients' experiences are a positive ones. People tell me that I go 'above and beyond' for my clients, as I’m always willing to go the extra mile. Aside from the business aspects of Real Estate Agent, I also have a very strong eye for interior design and can both help my sellers maximize their home’s potential as well as help buyers see past the clutter in a potential purchase. I hope your search for a Real Estate Professional stops here! I look forward to working with old friends again, and building important relationships with new clients. Please do not hesitate to contact me; I can always be reached via email or cell to answer any of your real estate questions, and market evaluations are always free.
As one of Carole's three children I am originally from England and moved to Canada in the early 1970's. I returned to England to study and stayed for 14 years and met my husband there. We returned to Canada in 2001 and have called Port Moody our home since and love living here with our two daughters. My background in sales and marketing has given me the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, which has allowed me to gain strong communication, negotiating and conflict resolution skills. I joined Carole as unlicensed assistant in 2010 and received my Real Estate license in 2011. I enjoy this industry as it is always changing and it allows me to meet new people and help them achieve their goals of finding the right home. I have watched Carole build her business through referrals and word of mouth, which I believe is a testament to the service she provides. As they say the apple does not fall far from the tree and I pride myself with the same work ethic. I look forward to working with past and future clients and building strong relationships so that your search for a realtor will stop here with us.
I am excited to be part of the Shaw Baker Realtors! I am a long time resident of the Tri-Cities. Originally living in Port Coquitlam with my parents and siblings and now owning a home in Port Moody with Carole’s son. I come to Real Estate with a strong background is sales, having worked in the industry since the age of 18. I attended BCIT, completing the Sales and Marketing course in 2011. Since graduating, I have worked as a sales rep within a large brokerage company focusing on customer and client needs. My strong time management and organizational skills will be a huge benefit to my work in real estate. I believe, with hard work and motivation, the best, most desired outcome is always achievable. I am delighted to work with Carole, Louisa and Jayne. I have seen them make the real estate dreams of their clients become a reality with their professionalism, experience, and dedication. With my marketing background, sales abilities and communication skills, I hope to be a great addition to the Shaw Baker Realtors. I look forward to working together as a family making the dreams of past and future clients a become reality!
I am Carole's daughter and am a long time Port Moody resident living in the area with my husband and teenage son. I have a 26 year insurance background and have had a wide variety of experiences which have led to my strength in communication, organization, negotiation, and time management. I had all the ups and downs in the life of an insurance adjuster for 10 years. While some situations were unpleasant, I always treated people how I would like to be treated which is with respect. The job itself demanded efficient time management, organizational skills, and an exceptional ability to negotiate. The next 16 years were spent working as a program director for a rehab company whose main clientele came from ICBC. So while this was still an insurance job, it was a very much a sales and marketing career. We were constantly marketing ourselves, either by cold calls or going to meet with lawyers or adjusters to pitch our services. It feels like a natural next step for me to go into real estate as I've been listening and paying attention to my Mom and sisters talk about Real Estate for as long as I can remember. I feel almost by osmosis I already know so much about the market and some of the clients they work with. I know they all have great pride in what they do and really care about their clients. I hope to bring all the same attributes to the team while also adding my own skill sets to the mix.
